Mary Playing with Marionettes
This complex automaton is comprised of three separate figures: Mary and two noble monkeys. Mary, the big doll, has three movements, one for her head and one for each of her hands. The two monkey marionettes make bows to each other to the music as Mary watches and plays.
Mary's head and hands are made of porcelain. The historic background landscape on the screen is a real oil painting. This automaton's music movement is a 37-note gold-plated precise mechanism.
